You might remember Justin Bieber‘s Icelandic swim which he documented on his [now deleted] Instagram, or the “I’ll Show You” music video from the same trip — but what you might not know about is the stunning photoshoot that took place on the trip.
Mind-blowingly talented photographer Chris Burkard, known for his spectacular surf and travel shots, was along for the adventure, and expertly captured the “Company” singer like we have never seen him before. It’s no wonder Burkard is Bieber’s favorite photographer.
This isn’t your average celebrity photoshoot. Burkard captured Bieber in some of his most serene moments, no posing, no studio, all set against the magnificent background of the glaciers and cliffs of Iceland. Seeing awe-inspired Bieber taking in natures majesty and reflecting on life, all while 4,000 miles away from the hectic hustle of LA, nary a paparazzo in sight, makes this shoot particularly special. The landscape photography alone is already award-winning, but drop one of the worlds biggest celebrities into it for scale, and you have a truly magical combination.
